Posted on March 25, 2023March 25, 2023 By DesiBanjara No Comments on Exam AZ-900 – AZURE FUNDAMENTALS

Microsoft Azure is a popular cloud computing platform used by businesses and individuals worldwide. Exam AZ-900, Azure Fundamentals, is a certification exam that validates the basic understanding of cloud concepts and Azure services. It is an entry-level exam designed for those who are new to cloud computing and want to get started with Microsoft Azure.

Exam Objective:

The AZ-900 exam objectives cover a broad range of Azure services and concepts. Here is a more detailed breakdown of the exam objectives:

  1. Cloud Computing Concepts:

This objective covers the basics of cloud computing, including the different types of cloud models (public, private, hybrid), cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), and cloud services (compute, storage, networking, database, analytics, etc.). You should be able to explain the benefits of cloud computing, including scalability, availability, and cost savings.

  1. Azure Core Services:

This objective covers the main Azure services that form the foundation of the Azure platform. You should have a basic understanding of Azure compute services, including virtual machines and containers. You should also be familiar with Azure storage services, including Blob storage, Files, and Queues, as well as Azure networking services, including Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, and Traffic Managers.

  1. Azure Security, Privacy, Compliance, and Trust:

This objective covers the security features and tools that are available in Azure, as well as Azure identity and access management. You should be able to explain how to secure your Azure resources using Azure Security Center, Azure Firewall, and Azure DDoS Protection. You should also understand Azure governance, including Azure Policy and Azure Blueprint. Finally, you should have a basic understanding of Azure Trust Center, including compliance certifications, privacy features, and data protection.

  1. Azure Pricing and Support:

This objective covers the different Azure pricing models, including pay-as-you-go, reserved instances, and enterprise agreements. You should be able to explain how to estimate the cost of your Azure resources using the Azure Pricing Calculator. You should also understand Azure subscriptions and billing, including how to manage your Azure costs and how to use Azure Advisor to optimize your Azure resources. Finally, you should have a basic understanding of Azure support options, including Azure documentation, Azure Community, and Azure support plans.

Preparation for Exam:

To prepare for the AZ-900 exam, you can follow the below steps:

  1. Study the Azure Fundamentals documentation: Microsoft provides detailed documentation on Azure Fundamentals, which covers all the topics included in the exam. You can use this documentation as your primary study material.
  2. Take online courses: Microsoft provides online courses for Azure Fundamentals. These courses cover all the topics included in the exam and provide hands-on practice using Azure services. You can take these courses to improve your understanding of Azure.
  3. Practice with Azure: Azure provides a free trial account that you can use to practice with Azure services. You can use this account to create virtual machines, storage accounts, and networks, and learn how to use Azure services.
  4. Practice with sample questions: You can find sample questions online to test your understanding of Azure. These questions will help you understand the format and difficulty level of the exam.

In order to prepare follow this AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals article series in which we have covered all the Azure concepts and also given lots of sample exam questions which will help you to pass the exam.

Exam Format:

The AZ-900 exam consists of 40-60 multiple-choice questions that must be completed in 60 minutes. The exam is available in different languages and can be taken in-person or online.

Exam Passing Criteria:
