Azure Pricing and Support

Posted on March 25, 2023 By DesiBanjara No Comments on Azure Pricing and Support

Azure Pricing and Support are important aspects that users must consider when deciding to use Azure for their applications and workloads. In this section, we will discuss the Azure Pricing Model and Support Options available to users.

Azure Pricing Model

Azure pricing is based on a consumption-based model, which means that users only pay for the resources they use. This model is flexible, allowing users to scale up or down as their needs change. Azure provides a range of pricing options, including pay-as-you-go, reserved instances, and enterprise agreements.

a) Pay-as-you-go: This pricing model is best suited for workloads that have unpredictable traffic patterns or short-term projects. Users pay only for the resources they use, with no upfront costs or termination fees.

b) Reserved Instances: Reserved Instances allow users to save money by committing to a specific instance type for a specific duration, typically one or three years. This pricing model is best suited for workloads with predictable usage patterns and long-term projects.

c) Enterprise Agreements: Enterprise Agreements are designed for organizations with large-scale deployments of Azure. These agreements provide volume discounts and other benefits, such as technical support and training.

Azure Support Options

Azure offers a range of support options to help users with their deployments, including free support, paid support, and Premier support. These support options provide users with access to technical support, training, and other resources to help them get the most out of Azure.

a) Free Support: Azure provides basic support for all users, including access to the Azure Knowledge Center, Azure documentation, and Azure Service Health.

b) Paid Support: Paid support provides users with access to technical support and other resources, such as advisory services, training, and architectural reviews. Paid support is available in three tiers: Developer, Standard, and Professional Direct.

c) Premier Support: Premier Support is designed for enterprise customers with large-scale deployments of Azure. Premier Support provides users with a dedicated support team, 24/7 support, and other benefits such as training and architectural reviews.

Summary:

Azure Pricing and Support are important considerations for anyone looking to use Azure for their applications and workloads. Azure offers a consumption-based pricing model, which is flexible and allows users to scale up or down as their needs change. Additionally, Azure offers a range of support options, including free support, paid support, and Premier support, to help users with their deployments and get the most out of Azure.
